Silver Bell Nursery is a nature-based enrichment program for children ranging from 2 ½ to 5 years of age (potty training not required). We offer three day (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) or five consecutive days for each child.
Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 12:45pm.
Our Daily Rhythm
8:30am – 8:45am – Children arrive
8:45am – 9:15am – Unstructured free play
9:15am – 9:45am – Snack time (Tuesday is bread and honey-butter, Wednesday is rice day and Thursday is soup day, Monday and Friday are muffin days) followed by cheese and apple.
9:45am – 10:30am – Unstructured free play
10:30am -10:50am – Circle (seasonal songs and poems) and story time (puppet show)
10:50am – 11:20am –Bathroom time – toilet and hand washing
11:20am – 11:35pm – Painting/Drawing/Playdough/Vegetable Chopping/Seasonal Activity
11:35am – 12:25pm – Lunch and free play when finished lunch
12:25am – 12:45pm – Farewell circle and time to get on the Puffer Train and walk to pick up
Monday and Friday are the big hike days and are less structured then the other days, this gives the children more time to play and explore their surroundings. Snack on hiking days are freshly made homemade muffins followed by cheese and dried fruit and nuts.
On Tuesday bread rolls are made fresh that morning , Wednesday rice is cooked that morning and Thursday soup is cooked that morning and served warm at snack time.
